Hi! I’m Jon Gourley!

Since I received my first Kodak Star 110 for Christmas when I was seven, I have been intrigued with photography. I love capturing moments of emotional expression to enhance memories of life events and daily lifestyle. I also enjoy sharing glimpses of the amazing world around me through my lens and the change in perspective it offers.

I grew up right here in the triangle area and am proud to be one of the local photographers in Raleigh NC. Since I have lived here my whole life, I am very familiar with the many areas to shoot at different times of the year.

Being a mechanical engineer has allowed me to excel in understanding of the scientific principles which make a great image. This includes everything from angular projections of light on a subject to photon acquisition on the camera sensor. Full comprehension of the technical and creative aspects of photography result in the highest possible overall image quality.
